The Steps

The Steps is a welcoming social space in Sofia designed to bring people together in an atmosphere of openness, respect, and shared purpose. The initiative is closely connected to the work of the Single Step Foundation, which supports young LGBTI people in Bulgaria in overcoming everyday challenges. Through this mission, The Steps extends beyond a physical location and becomes part of a broader effort to foster confidence, belonging, and personal growth. Visitors are not just guests—they become part of a supportive and diverse community.

The venue also features a club section where regular gay and lesbian parties take place under the name Vault. These events are known for their changing themes, guest DJs, and vibrant atmosphere, adding a dynamic nightlife element to the overall experience.

Built as a natural continuation of this journey, The Steps represents progress, resilience, and collective ambition. It invites everyone, regardless of background, to engage without prejudice and contribute to a more understanding and inclusive society.
