Bansko Opera Fest

Bansko Opera Fest is one of Bulgaria's leading open-air classical music festivals, bringing world-class opera and musical performances to the heart of the Pirin Mountains. Held annually in late August, the festival transforms the mountain town of Bansko into an open-air stage where renowned Bulgarian and international artists perform under the stars.

The festival presents a diverse program that includes opera, operetta, musicals, and gala concerts, featuring acclaimed soloists accompanied by the orchestra, choir, and ballet of the Varna State Opera. Productions combine exceptional vocal performances with impressive stage design, choreography, costumes, and modern visual effects, creating a memorable experience for audiences of all ages.

In addition to the main evening performances, the festival extends into the town with smaller classical music events at various locations, allowing visitors to enjoy live performances throughout Bansko.
