Vitosha Mountain

Sofia's mountain playground for hiking and skiing

Vitosha is a mountain massif on the outskirts of Sofia. It is one of the oldest nature parks in Europe, established in 1934. The highest peak, Cherni Vrah (Black Peak), stands at 2,290 meters. Vitosha is a popular destination for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. The mountain offers stunning views of Sofia and is easily accessible by cable car from the city.
