Bulgaria's largest and most iconic Orthodox cathedral

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is an Orthodox cathedral and one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world. Built in Neo-Byzantine style, it serves as the cathedral church of the Patriarch of Bulgaria. The cathedral was built between 1882 and 1912 in honor of the Russian soldiers who died during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878.
